TAYLOR SWIFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is HUGE because it proves that she can't just sing or act: she helps.

This artcile was found on http://taylorswift.com
First Lady Michelle Obama will make her first-ever appearance at Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards to present Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Taylor Swift with this year's The Big Help Award in recognition of her extensive philanthropic endeavors, including her work with tornado and flood survivors in the United States. This year's Kids' Choice Awards, to be hosted by Will Smith, will be telecast live on Nickelodeon Saturday, March 31, at 8 pm (ET/Tape delayed for West Coast) from USC's Galen Center in Los Angeles, Ca. The Big Help Award recognizes individuals who take actions to better the world and whose significant impact on their community has inspired kids to do the same.
"Taylor's dedication to helping others has encouraged her fan base to do the same, and this is the very core of what The Big Help is, inspiring others through action," said Marva Smalls, Executive Vice President, Public Affairs and Chief of Staff, Nickelodeon Group. "We are honored that First Lady Michelle Obama, a past recipient of The Big Help Award will be presenting this formidable and inspiring artist with this much deserved honor."
First Lady Michelle Obama received The Big Help Award at the 2010 Kids' Choice Awards in recognition of her leadership in championing healthier lifestyles for kids through her Let's Move! campaign. Earlier this year, Mrs. Obama appeared in a special episode of Nickelodeon's hit series iCarly in support of her Joining Forces initiative to support military families.
Among her many charitable works, Swift is dedicated to raising funds and awareness to benefit those affected by natural disasters. Most recently, Swift took the unprecedented step of opening the last dress rehearsal of her Speak Now Tour to fans as a fundraiser for victims of the deadly tornadoes that tore through the Southeastern region of the U.S. The event raised more than $750,000, with 100% of ticket sales going directly to help tornado victims via the "Speak Now … Help Now" Fund established through the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.
Swift's ongoing charitable work includes partnerships with Make-A-Wish Foundation, St. Jude Medical Center, Habitat for Humanity, TJ Martell Foundation, The Red Cross and its international and regional affiliates, The Salvation Army, Nick's Kids, and the Victory Junction Gang Camp, as well as libraries, schools and educational initiatives around the country.
Nickelodeon's The Big Help is a prosocial initiative that empowers kids to take positive actions on issues that are important to them. The goal of the campaign is to launch a kid-led movement, focusing on key issues like health and wellness, education, community service, and the environment. This is the fourth consecutive year The Big Help Award has been awarded to a celebrity who embodies the spirit of the Nickelodeon Big Help initiative. Previous winners include last year's recipient Justin Timberlake; this year's presenter of the award, First Lady Michelle Obama in 2010; and Leonardo DiCaprio in 2009.
Kids can pledge to make a difference in their community by going to www.nick.com/thebighelp/. The Big Help site will show them how to take positive actions that will directly affect their communities.
No stranger to Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards, Swift has been nominated four times and is the recipient of two blimp awards, for Favorite Female Singer (2010) and Favorite Song, "You Belong With Me" (2010). Swift also appeared in the 2011 HALO Awards as one of the celebrities paired with an extraordinary teen who shared his passion for community service and giving back.
A six-time Grammy award winner, Swift was also named Billboard's 2011 Woman of the Year, and is the reigning American Music Awards Artist of the Year, as well as both the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music's Entertainer of the Year. Her Speak Now album has sold more than 5 million copies worldwide and she is Billboard's current Top 200 Albums Artist (all genres). With the release of her (now 5x-Platinum) Speak Now album in 2010, Taylor sold more albums that year than any other artist in any genre of music. She made history on the Billboard Hot 100, charting a record-breaking 11 songs from one album in a single week.

I am just so proud!!!! I am a total Swiftie at heart. She doesn't sing dirty, dress dirty, do bad things, or be a negitive role model. Look at Katy Perry's lyrics then hers. Huge difference right? Vote for her here for Favorite Female Singer and Favorite Song (Spraks Fly)

Today is the last day and I think tom. you might be able to.

Where I have been

NOTE: I didn't blog because every time I tried to tell you the story something came up making me get off the computer. I missed blogging and Things I Love. From now on Tuesdays won't work so it's gonna be every other Thursday for TIL.

Sorry so long. Very very busy. And getting busier. Or I am unable to blog. Lets start with one week a ago.

Softballs ------------------------- Thursday of last week
I was at my very first softball practice. We were to warm up by passing the ball back and forth with a friend. My friend H (name will not be mentioned for those who do not know she did it. if you do know please don't make her feel bad. ) is on cruthces and wanted to throw. Me being the good friend happily agreed. She kept whipping the ball over my head. So one time it actually hit my eyebrow. YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ohhhhh I bled and bled. The coach came running and my Dad picked me up. We went home me sobbing with an ice pack. I quit softball. That night I got to go get it glued instead of stitches. All was fine I needed to wait for the glue to scab off in a little over a week.

Friday night/Saturday morning 1:30 AM

I was sleeping on my good eye side. I woke up and ran to my parent's bedroom. I said my head and eye/ eyebrow was throbbing giving me a headache. We went to the bathroom to find that there was a tennis ball shape lump and size over my cut and eye. I could barely open my eye and it hurt. I went back to my room and iced it until about 4:00 AM. I went asleep somewhere after that.

Saturday
My Dad had made an appointment for 12. The swelling had gone down but I still had a lump. The doctor checked it out and sent me to the hospital to get a cat scan at 1:30. We came home picked up my Mom and drove me to the hospitial. They sended us to the imaging area and we waited and watched the gymnastics competion on TV. I got the cat scan and they said it wasn't infected I just have to wait for the swelling to go down. They sent us to CVS to get me my Medicine in case it would get infected. I layed on the couch all day watching teennick.

Sunday
I layed in bed. My eye started to go purple. The swelling didn't go down. It was the smae as Saturday. My favorite Aunt came over at night. She brought me Quizfest magazine that I happily took and took and took every quiz and hung every poster. (One was Taylor Swift!!!!!!!!!!!!) Then she got me a Rita's.

Monday
My eye started to go green and purple. The Swelling was the same. I skipped school. My sister and I took quizzes in our fort and had the first picnic of the season. We then later started our new favorite game called War or Ulitmate Challenge. Then we played red light green light with my bro and then freeze tag.

Tuesday
I went to school and EVERYONE EVEN STRANGERS asked what was wrong with my eye. It was green and purple and still swelled up.AT dance we had Karyn as my sub for jazz and in tap we worked on candyman our dance. Then we waited in a twenty minute line to get free rita's ice as the first day of spring always does. They had our fav flavor of chesseckae. I then watched an amzing Dance Moms.

Wednesday
Still purple and green and swollen and I broke a blood vessel so my eye is sort of red too. Nice.

Thursday
Ahhh still purple and green and swollen and red and everyone still needs to know whats wrong.

Now this week-end is busy too. Friday night I have my BFF's slumber party and we are gonna paint pottery at The Prancing Pig. Saturday I have something else IDK just like a whole bunch of small things. And sunday is my grandma's b-day party. I am gonna start Things I love in a sec.

Choi!

Spring Is Coming...

On Thursday afternoon it was in the low seventies. All of this week it is too. WOW!!! I love love love spring. Today we went on a walk and saw daffodils. Eppppp!!!!!!!!!!! Today was daylight saving beginning!!! Whoop! Longer days here we come!! I love the idea of being to play outside until like eight thirty in the summer. On Thursday we went and got the first Rita's of the season. (For those of you who don't know Rita's is this Italian ice store but like you can't go in you just order and sit down like Handel's ice cream. They also sell custard and really cool ice cream type products.) I got fudge brownie. It was awesome. Hopefully the first of many!!!

Next topic is this week. I am going to be taking the state tests on reading and math. They are called the PSSA's. We take them in the morning. After you finish you get to read. (I got a ton of great books to discuss after I finish them. Like they sound great. I am saving them. :))   they aslo give you really cool snacks and stuff. We play word and math games like Sparkle and Mulitapaction Clap and stuff like that. We get a ton of extar recesses and no homework. We do have 50 min. classes but you do nothing but play games and such. The tests are easy for me.

Thirdly I have to apoligize for not updating in a while. I like to three or two times a week but I have a celebrity fun fact post in the works. This week I may not have time to finish it. But I will do things I love 2 on Tuesday. I am already gathering things.

Yesterday all I did from 4-11 PM was watch season 6 of America's Next Top Model. It was soooo addicating. I missed some of the season though. I fully watched each episode. The final two were girls I could stand. (I hated Jade and Nneeva) I was shocked at the winner. I love ANTM. I have the DS game and it is challenging. It isn't like the show though which was disappointing. It was still a blast though.

I think that's all for now........................................ Except that I love the song Stronger by Kelly Clarkson.

Ohhh okay so we picked out my tap song for the show. I'll give you a hints.

It's by a judge from the voice.

It's a love song.

It has a music video.

It came out a few years ago.

Give Up?????????????        Christina Augulira's Candyman!!! I'm in totally love with this song. We are trying to convince the teacher to make us the pink dress in the video but more coverage. It's gonna be a 40's dance all sassy and fun. It was ethier this or footlose and this won by a landslide!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ta-Ta for now!!!!!!!!!!

things I love #1

So on a lot of blogs I've seen this thing called things I love. When I finally saw that Claire had done it, I decided I must try it! Some people do it weekly, or monthly. I'll try to do it weekly or biweekly. (Every other week for you who are not in my advanced spelling class. Feel free to do it too and send me the link!

1.  Temple Run
Ohhh I LOVE  this app. I played it 452 times, my longest run is 6,436m, and my high score is 520,236. I am addicted. It's shall I dare say better than fruit Ninjas. Slap me with a Kansas City Pickle. (Anyone know who I'm quoting?)

2.  Coconut Suave Shampoo and conditioner
This is my favorite! It smells so dreamy and tropical. I love any Suave shampoo and conditioner. My mom has recently bought me one that ties for this called Everlasting Sunshine. It smells awesome. But alas Suave does not have a picture of it on it's website.

3.  Vanilla Tootsie Rolls

These are so much better than the original. I am so vanilla girl over chocolate. Yeah I'll eat Hershey's chocolate bars but overall vanilla is a much better substitute.

4. Sophia Grace and Rosie's Tea Time With Taylor Swift
Those girls are SO cute! And than you add Taylor Swift????????????? And a tea party??????? It's like awesome. If you haven't seen it you must. Even if you don't like them. Or Taylor Swift. Which is a crime!

5. Dylan's Candy Bar store

We went here and it's like 'heaven dipped in chocolate'. It is so candylicious and o-mazing. I'm wearing the t-shirt today.

6. The Lorax ( I AM DYING TO SEE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

 Can you guess why????????????????

7.  The Hunger Games
One of the all time greatset novels. Ever.

8. Pointe Shoes
Need them. Still have to practice though.

Ta-TA

Happy March!!!!!!!

Happy March!!!!!!!!!!! it's been in the forties to the sixties for the past two weeks. Since it's  March, I'm working to find a cute new spring background. This one is too dark for me. Here is a really cute video of Ellen's Sophia Grace and Rosie. These are my two new favorite girls. They are soooooooooooooooooooooo adorable and love cotton candy and Princesses!!!!!!!Here is the video of their tea time with Taylor Swift that premiered on Ellen on Feb. 28 and Here is my favorite video of them going shopping with their idol. Youtube them tonight to see all their videos. Sophia Grace is a really good singer. Oh and they're British!!!!!!!!! Rosie is kinda clueless about what's going on. I'm also freaking out because I got a second follower. Eep! The Dancing With The Stars cast just came out. There are a few people I might like. The last thing is I finished with the first Hunger Games book really loved it. I probably won't see the movie because it seems violent. But I might go see a movie this week-end? Any guesses???? Happy Birthday Justin Bieber!!!! I only like Mistletoe but still......... I like to be nice. It was yesterday. I gave up negativity for Lent this year and I slip a lot. Oh and the Kids Choice Awards voting started. Vote for Taylor Swift. Please. I'm now in love with all things cotton candy and blueberry. I always get the cotton candy dum dum pops. Yummy!

Now lets get serious. March is here and it's going to be a big month for me.
My goals are to be really springey and like nail the state tests. We take the reading and math tests in two weeks. We get lots of extra recces and snacks. I thank everyone who comes on this blog. You really make my day to get a comment or another follower.

First tonight I played JUST DANCE 3 ( my fav video game) for like an hour. I then colored in a St.Patrick's day coloring contest thing. My night started at 7 if you care. In ten min. I am going to watch Dance Academy. Now I am going to change this design and font. The font is REALLy bugging me.

Love ya
Lexie
